In May 2018, we filmed seven-year-old Bella receiving treatment for a brain tumour. Bella’s mum, Zelda, said, “It got harder and she suffered from infections in between sessions. It knocked her and was a very challenging time towards the end.” Bella has now got the all-clear and is back at school. Her family is now planning a holiday to celebrate the end of her treatment. Research is saving lives right now – donate to help more people survive. | Cancer Research UK

Over the past 50 years, we’ve been at the heart of progress in lung cancer research. We’ve proved the link between tobacco and cancer, continue to understand the disease through research and play a pivotal role in helping develop drugs to treat it. But our biggest investment into lung cancer came in 2014, with the TRACERx lung study, which is transforming our understanding of a disease that we know needs better diagnosis, and treatments, to have more people survive. http://bit.ly/3UPGCFK | Cance

We asked a panel of kids to watch junk food adverts and tell us what they thought. In the UK, around 1 in 3 kids leave primary school overweight or obese and an obese child is more likely to be obese as an adult. We want to protect future generations and end junk food advertising to kids. Find out more: https://po.st/H9bSVv | Cancer Research UK

This Christmas, our researchers wanted to say a very special thank you. Because of your generosity, Simona, Savvas, Sophie and Anh from the Cancer Research UK Beaston Institute in Glasgow, can work on better understanding how cells move around the body. If they can find a way to stop cancer spreading to other parts of the body, it could revolutionise cancer treatment and dramatically change the lives of people living with the disease. | Cancer Research UK
