People scrambled to take cover during a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that rattled Alaska. Roads cracked and collapsed in some areas, and power was knocked out in Anchorage. Gov. 🚨228 Alaska Earthquakes In 48 Hours Alaska’s earthquake situation just escalated again. In the latest 24 hour window, there were 143 earthquakes recorded worldwide. Out of those, 118 hit Alaska alone. That means in only two days, Alaska has taken at least 228 earthquakes of magnitude 3 and above. This is not what a calm fault looks like. This is a fault system that is still moving, still adjusting, and possibly loading for another major break. All of this is happening on the same Pacific plate
