Rosslyn Castle, located near the village of Roslin in Midlothian, dates back to the late 14th century. It was built by the Sinclair family, an influential noble house, and served as their stronghold for centuries. The castle was partially destroyed by English forces in 1544 during the Rough Wooing but was later rebuilt.
