In a subtle diplomacy, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has started announcing weather forecast for Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) as well as Gilgit-Baltistan region. IMD's official website now lists local weather reports and forecast for towns in Gilgit Baltistan region. This is the first time that IMD has started predicting forecasts for these areas under the 'north-west subdivision'.
