Today, U.S. 98 east and westbound traffic shares what will eventually become the eastbound (Pensacola to Gulf Breeze) bridge while the team constructs an identical structure for westbound (Gulf Breeze to Pensacola) traffic. This recent video looking toward Pensacola from Gulf Breeze shows progress being made on the westbound (Gulf Breeze to Pensacola) bridge. Decks have been poured nearly to the decorative arches at the main navigational channel. Crews will continue pouring concrete for the bridge decks, as well as setting trophy pieces and beams for the remaining portions of the westbound bridge.
