We look around after cyclone Batsirai moves away from Mauritius. Starting in our own backyard with two fallen trees blocking our only way out. After a hearty pancake breakfast, I broke the tree up and move it so we were able to check out the destruction. Grand Baie had waves, La Curvette had waves and even Pereybere had waves, but it was fallen trees that caused the most destruction. Cyclone Batsirai warning issued with heavy rainfall, strong winds predicted Staff Reporter TROPICAL cyclone Batsirai over the southern Indian Ocean is predicted to make landfall in Madagascar on Friday or Saturday and is projected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds across the SADC region including Namibia, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform has warned. Satellite images over the past 24 hours indicate good rains over parts of Namibia's central, southern, and eastern regions.
