California restaurants scored 37 spots on the Top 100, more than twice last year’s number and far more than any other state. SoCal eateries dominate this year’s state honorees, with a seafood counter in Los Angeles, Holbox, ranking No. 1. And a sizeable number of Central Valley restaurants from Rocklin south to Fresno made the list.

Yelp released its 2025 ranking of the best restaurants in the United States, and a Los Angeles restaurant took the top spot.

Heirloom, 8398 North Fresno St. in Fresno, was No. 50 on Yelp’s list of the best restaurants in the nation. The restaurant in Fresno’s Park Crossing shopping center has an average Yelp rating of 4.6 stars out of five, with reviewers praising its “great customer service” and “delicious homemade food.”
