Russian President Vladimir Putin might face challenges when travelling to Hungary to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss ending the war.

The meeting had been announced last week. It was supposed to take place in Budapest, although a date had not been set.

Ukraine’s president and European leaders are accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of stalling on peace efforts in Ukraine.

President Trump said last week that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin would meet in Budapest, Hungary, though he did not say when.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had hoped to secure Tomahawk cruise missiles in a meeting with Trump last week. However, after a phone call with Putin, Trump called on Kyiv and Moscow to 'stop where they are' in the war, which has lasted more than three years.
