A federal judge ordered the release of Mohsen Mahdawi, the second pro-Palestinian Columbia University student detained under the Trump administration.

U.S. District Court Judge Geoffrey Crawford ruled Mahdawi did not present a risk of fleeing from court proceedings or harming the community, Vermont Public reported. Crawford's order allows Mahdawi to return to his home in Vermont and continue attending classes at Columbia.
