Broncos head coach Sean Payton entrusted Webb to call his first plays ever as an NFL coach on Saturday night in front of the Mile High Faithful. The results were excellent, and Payton acknowledged his young protégé post-game.

NFL teams must cut their rosters from 90 to 53 by 2 p.m. on Aug. 26. Every year, much is made about players being sure bets to get claimed by other teams, and every year the number is lower than expected — often less than one per team. Payton thinks his team will be getting poached this summer rather than doing the poaching.

Broncos OLB Nik Bonitto should be back in action for the preseason finale and LT Garett Bolles is "fine," according to Sean Payton.

After the game, Payton lauded the depth of the team after their dominant performance. Not only that, but he took the time to thank the front office staff for doing an incredible job over the past few seasons adding talented players to the fold that fit the vision and culture he is trying to establish in the Mile High city.

Payton did not directly say he wouldn't do two again, but he certainly seemed to imply it. Payton also wasn't a fan of how long the 49ers practice lasted.
