Broncos set two NFL records in stunning comeback win over Giants: How Denver rewrote the record book
The Broncos broke a record that had been held by the 1981 Atlanta Falcons, who got shut out for three quarters by the Green Bay Packers before scoring 31 in the final quarter. The Broncos and Falcons are the only two teams in NFL history to score at least 30 points after scoring zero in the first three quarters.
The Jaxson Dart-stunning 33 fourth-quarter points from the Broncos are the second most by any team in NFL history, trailing only a 34-point performance from the Lions—who put up 34 on the Bears in the final frame of a September contest back in 2007.
Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants blew a 19-0 lead in the fourth quarter to Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos on the road with a game-winning field goal, losing 33-32.
The Giants defense played lights out through three quarters against the Broncos, but lost Jevon Holland to this injury.
DENVER — The Denver Broncos unveiled Demaryius Thomas' pillar in their Ring of Fame plaza in a ceremony outside Empower Field on Sunday, honoring the late wide receiver during their celebration of their Super Bowl 50 team.
Joseph was hired by Sean Payton as defensive coordinator in January of 2023. That year's defense under Joseph was streaky, but it had tremendous success taking the ball away, which gave the Broncos a fighting chance down the stretch. Denver would ultimately squander it, but the defense did a lot of heavy lifting.
The Denver Broncos reworked their roster before facing the New York Giants in Week 7, including with quarterback Sam Ehlinger.
The list is headlined, of course, by pass rusher Von Miller, who took home Super Bowl MVP honors after totaling 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in the win. Miller now plays for the Washington Commanders and he has 3.5 sacks in 2025.
