Now brands are helping those displaced by the devastating wildfires in Southern California, which have already destroyed almost 2,000 buildings and forced 130,000 people to evacuate.

Uber has about 75% of the rideshare market, and Lyft has the remaining 25%, according to a autoinsurance.com, which compiles statistics on the industry. Combined, the providers had almost 180 million active users as of last June. Uber's three safety reports to date cover the years 2017-2018, 2019-2020 and 2021-2022.

Rideshare drivers who believe they were underpaid by Uber and Lyft are encouraged to file their claims before the end of the month.
