Seattle Mariners starter Logan Gilbert can make baseball history on Sunday night by pitching his team to the World Series.
The Mariners now get one final chance this season to advance to win the first American League pennant in World Series history.
Just one win away from their first World Series appearance in franchise history, the Mariners will turn to their homegrown ace who has become a prominent face of the organization while embodying every aspect of their pitching philosophies.
Gilbert will start Game 6 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays on Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. As expected, Gilbert will toe the rubber in Toronto on Sunday after giving up three runs (two earned) over three innings in Monday's Game 2 start.
