Yonhap News Agency on MSN(LEAD) Lee vows to pursue 3-stage denuclearization plan for N. Korea
SEOUL, Aug. 21 (Yonhap) -- President Lee Jae Myung has said he will pursue a three-stage denuclearization plan for North Korea, with Seoul approaching such a strategy via active efforts for dialogue with Pyongyang based on the solid alliance with the United States.
South Korea will end some military activities along its border with North Korea, President Lee Jae Myung said on Friday, in his government's latest effort to improve ties between the neighbours still technically at war.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung pledged to "respect" North Korea's political system and said Seoul would not seek unilateral reunification in a speech to mark Liberation Day.
