Memphis Grizzlies All-Star big man Jaren Jackson Jr. is recovering from surgery for a turf toe injury and will be re-evaluated in about 12 weeks.

Just one day after agreeing to a five-year, $240 million extension with Jaren Jackson Jr., the Memphis Grizzlies announced that their star big man will undergo a procedure on a turf toe injury in his right foot he suffered during "a live basketball run offsite."

Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. is expected to be reevaluated in 12 weeks after suffering a right turf toe injury, the team announced July 2. Jackson will undergo a procedure after he suffered the toe injury in an offsite basketball setting, the team said July 1.
