Spec sheets for the ASRock Intel Arc B570 Challenger 10GB OC and ASRock Intel Arc B580 Steel Legend 12GB OC point to two Battlemage GPUs coming.

Intel’s next — and possibly last — desktop graphics cards will begin arriving in just 10 days. Right on cue, the company has announced the budget $249 Arc B580 and $219 Arc B570, shipping December 13th and January 16th, respectively, as the “best-in-class performance per dollar” options in the GPU market.

On the other hand, Intel's Core Ultra 200V series (Lunar Lake), uses the same GPU technology for its integrated graphics (albeit stripped down to save power), and Intel's integrated GPUs technically dominate the market; XeSS 2 will run on Lunar Lake, which could be a big incentive for developers to support it.

Nvidia's cheapest current-gen card with more than 8GB of RAM is the 16GB version of the 4060 Ti (roughly $450 as of this writing), while AMD offers a 16GB version of the less-powerful RX 7600 XT for around $320. The Intel cards offer less RAM than this but undercut them significantly on price while still providing more than 8GB.

More news about Intel’s Arc Limited Edition series of discrete GPUs arrived today. Intel is expected to announce the B-series GPUs Dec. 3, but today we’re getting a preview of what we might see tomorrow.
