New York Giants LT Andrew Thomas says his Lisfranc injury is a tough one to come back from and wouldn't guarantee a Week 1 return.

The New York Giants activated offensive lineman Andrew Thomas off of the physically unable to perform (PUP) list Tuesday, allowing their franchise left tackle to return to practice for the first time in almost a year. Thomas has been sidelined since Oct. 15, when he underwent surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury in his foot.

Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas will be joining the team at practice on Tuesday. The Giants announced that Thomas passed a physical, which cleared the way for him to be activated from the physically unable to perform list.
