Former South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol moved back on Friday with his wife and their 11 dogs and cats to their apartment in an upscale district of Seoul, close to the prosecutors’ office where the impeached leader worked before entering politics.

The disastrous attempt led to Yoon's impeachment by the National Assembly shortly thereafter, with the Constitutional Court fully stripping him of his presidential duties on Apr 4. Although he has lost all presidential privileges, Yoon still faces a criminal trial on insurrection charges, which will kick off Monday.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will not run for president of South Korea, Yonhap news agency reported on Saturday. South Korea will hold a presidential election on June 3 to replace Yoon Suk Yeol, who was removed from office last week,
