St Pauli beat Hoffenheim 1-0 in Friday's Bundesliga game to boost their hopes of avoiding relegation and leave the visitors nervously looking over their shoulders. Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann's error allowed Philipp Treu to flick the ball over the Germany stopper and lay the ball off for Noah Weisshaupt to tap home on 51 minutes.

St. Pauli have taken just two points from six games since recording back-to-back wins over Heidenheim and Union Berlin in January. After drawing with Augsburg, they went on to lose five consecutive games before they took a point from last Saturday’s away clash against Wolfsburg.
