The Mariners quickly find themselves on a high swing entering the second half, on the heels of a big haul in the MLB Draft, Cal Raleigh winning the Home Run Derby and a three-game sweep the weekend prior over the team with MLB’s best record.
The Tigers look to make a hard push heading into the Midsummer Classic, as they hope to stay at the top of the Major League Baseball standings before Monday. They are riding high thanks to a stretch of good play, having swept the Cleveland Guardians, on the road, last weekend, before taking two of three from the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the week.
AJ Hinch was not discouraged by the Tigers' recent struggles following their three-game sweep to the Mariners on Sunday.

The Seattle Mariners' star outfielder pair of Julio Rodriguez and Randy Arozarena proved that on Saturday. The duo was out along the foul line preparing for their matchup with the Tigers in Detroit, and the Tigers' mascot strolled over. The mascot mimed Arozarena's stretches.
