The young victim has been identified by authorities as 16-year-old Jonathan Flores of LA. His death has been ruled a homicide caused by multiple blunt force injuries.

Family members say that the 16-year-old victim was an athlete and honor roll student at his South Los Angeles high school and that he did nothing to deserve the way he died on Friday.
