Owen Caissie homered and drove in three runs, and the Chicago Cubs held off the Milwaukee Brewers for a 6-4 win in the opener of a split doubleheader.

Caissie and utility man Willi Castro, whose first home run as a Cub accounted for three runs in the third inning, combined to drive in all six of the Cubs’ runs in Game 1. Caissie’s first major-league home run then came in the sixth inning, an opposite-field solo shot.

The Chicago Cubs hoped that Owen Caissie could give their offense a boost, and he did just that with his first career long ball.
