Michigan was assigned a 4 seed in the selection committee’s early bracket reveal, released Saturday afternoon. The actual bracket will be unveiled on March 16.

The NCAA revealed its top 16 seeds Saturday and to no one's surprise, the members of the selection committee felt that the SEC was the most dominant league in college basketball. There are five SEC teams in the top six overall and six total among the 16 teams revealed.

Indiana basketball made UCLA earn it. The Hoosiers fought back from a 10-point deficit in the final minutes of Friday's game against the Bruins at Assembly Hall, but couldn't come up with a clutch basket in the final seconds of a 72-68 loss.

It felt like if the Hoosiers were going to push for March Madness, stacking on a win at Michigan State would be the launching point.

Indiana took a step in the right direction with its 71-67 win at No. 11 Michigan State on Tuesday, but the Hoosiers still have work to do to prove that they belong among the Big Ten’s NCAA Tournament contenders.
