Fireworks aren't the only things to light up the night sky as the year comes to an end — a spectacular meteor shower and dazzling full moon are ... which are deemed by NASA as "one of the best and most reliable annual meteor showers" of the year.

The Geminid meteor shower will reach its peak late Friday night into early Saturday morning, which can produce in excess of 100 of the shooting stars per hour during peak conditions.

Surely it’s only coincidence that the last Friday the 13th of 2024 coincides with the peak of the Geminids meteor shower and a full moon, right?
