Colorado Rockies designated hitter Kris Bryant will undergo a procedure on his balky back Thursday in Los Angeles.

The Rockies’ oft-injured designated hitter is scheduled to undergo an ablation on his lower back in L.A. on Thursday, hoping the procedure will help him get back on the field. Bryant, 33, has been on the injured list since April 13 with what the club calls “lumbar degenerative disc disease.”
