The deal comes after Forest’s initial £35m offer was turned down by Ipswich, despite the bid matching the value of Hutchinson’s recently expired relegation clause. Ipswich’s stance reflected their desire to retain one of their brightest talents, but Forest’s willingness to increase their offer appears to have broken the deadlock.
