The Park Range of northern Colorado’s Rocky Mountains could see more than 2 feet of snow accumulate by 5 a.m. Tuesday, forecasters said.

Another Arctic blast and several rounds of snow are expected in Denver early next week. Moderate to heavy mountain snow begins Sunday afternoon.  Both the high country and Eastern Plain will warm to the 30s and 40s by early Sunday afternoon.

We have a cold setup for the week, albeit not at all cold relative to others within the region. Denver will come to near 0° the next two mornings, but some folks will fall to 40-below-zero across the northern US.

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Denver, Greeley and Byers, lasting until 11 a.m.

A major winter storm will continue in the mountains through Saturday and a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day is issued as the Denver weather forecast does feature a chance to see light snow Saturday

Cloudy skies will be around all day Tuesday, with chilly temperatures and light snow before more snow and cold conditions move in Tuesday night in the Denver weather forecast.

Winter is making its presence known this week in the Denver metro area, and by Tuesday evening, the season’s familiar antics will be unmistakable.

Colder temperatures and snow chances are moving into Denver’s weather. In the mountains, a combination of winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings are in effect through early Tuesday morning as heavy snow could make mountain travel very difficult.

Temperatures return to the 30s Monday. Snow will also return starting in the late evening or overnight, continuing into Tuesday, according to Pinpoint Weather Team Meteorologist Liz McGiffin.
