Four Bruins players were named to the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off tournament, which will be held in Boston and Montreal in February.

The Boston Bruins will have four players represent Team USA at the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off in February. Jeremy Swayman will join defenseman Charlie McAvoy in the round-robin tournament. McAvoy was previously named one of the first six players to the United States’ roster over the summer.

Elias Lindholm was named to Team Sweden. Defenseman Hampus Lindholm would have had a chance to be named but he’s still out for the foreseeable future with a knee injury. Captain Brad Marchand had also already been named to Team Canada.

The 4 Nations Face-Off rosters for the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland are now set. For the Boston Bruins, Charlie McAvoy, Jeremy Swayman, Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm will all be competing.

The NHL’s next foray into international tournaments will take place from February 12-20 with the 4 Nations Faceoff. The four teams have announced their rosters today. The Finns are possibly the weakest teams on paper in terms of pure firepower but have a long tradition of playing hard and above their levels.
