The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning and a winter weather advisory for parts of southeast Wisconsin for Wednesday and Thursday.

Several schools will remain closed as a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire Chicago area from 9 am on Wednesday to 3 am on Thursday.

The back-to-back storms are expected to bring significant dumps of snow that could total 10 inches or more for many locales in southern Wisconsin, according to forecasters.
