Patriots starting defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, who has two years left on his deal, has been given permission to seek a trade, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The Patriots granted Godchaux permission to seek a trade, a source confirmed to the Herald on Wednesday. NFL Media was first to report the news. Godchaux signed a two-year contract extension last offseason that has yet to kick in.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have granted the veteran defensive tackle permission to seek a trade this offseason. “There has been contact with interested teams, and the veteran is likely on the move given the team’s defensive scheme shift,” Rapoport noted on X.
