The area received multiple inches of rainfall which led to flooding over roadways in every western Kentucky county in the WSIL region. Over the past several days, the list of flooded roadways are diminishing. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the flooding is crossing roadways, which is impacting motorists.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is preparing for flooding ahead of weekend rainfall. Gov. Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency on Friday morning as anywhere from two to five inches of rain are expected to fall from Saturday to Sunday.

KYTC District 1 reports several roadways across western Kentucky are experiencing severe flooding due to heavy rainfall passing through the region. Here is a list of reported impacted roadways.

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A transportation company will expand with a more than $5 million investment in its Paducah facility. According to Governor Andy Beshear’s office, the Marquette Transportation Co. provides barge towing services on inland waterways. The new investment is expected to create up to 55 new jobs.
