The next version of the Internet Explorer browser will be available to a variety of Microsoft OSes, the product team has revealed - but Windows 2000 looks likely to be absent from the list.

It is critical for Internet Explorer 5.01 and Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1, running on Windows 2000; Internet Explorer 6 running on Windows XP; and Internet Explorer 7.
