U.S. Vice President JD Vance has criticized Israel’s parliament vote on West Bank annexation, saying the move was an “insult.”

The measure was a farce—it did not change Israel’s policy on the ground, and half of the Knesset’s members did not even participate in the vote.

“Don’t worry—Israel isn’t going to do anything with the West Bank,” President Trump told Time.
