A survivor of a yacht that sunk off the coast of Egypt has told how he narrowly escaped disaster. Those onboard were forced to swim in the dark after the boat capsized on Monday, caught in large waves.

Egyptian naval forces have rescued three more people and recovered four bodies, a day after a tourist yacht carrying 44 passengers sank in the Red Sea coastal town of Marsa Alam after facing rough weather.

Four bodies were retrieved one day after Monday’s shipwreck, according to local authorities. Search teams rescued 33 people and seven people remained missing on Tuesday.
