Nathan Eovaldi tossed seven shutout innings, Marcus Semien and Josh Jung hit two-run home runs and the Texas Rangers beat the Detroit Tigers 6-1.

Colt Keith and the Detroit Tigers will play Josh Smith and the Texas Rangers at Comerica Park on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. ET, in the final game of a three-game series. The Tigers pitching staff is 10th in the majors with a collective 8.7 strikeouts per nine innings. The Rangers have the seventh-best ERA (3.47) in the majors this season.

Though the Tigers had built up more credibility by snagging five wins in a row, they had a tough pill to swallow in the second game of the series. They got away with a 2-1 win thanks to a dominant pitching performance from Tarik Skubal. Detroit did not get that type of outing from any of its pitching on Saturday night.

While the tic-tac-toe game became a wash after three moves, Josh got the best of Jace on the field in what became a 10-3 Rangers win in Detroit. Josh went 1-for-4 at the plate in Texas' win, while Jace went 0-for-3 as the Tigers struggled to get much of anything going at the plate against Jacob deGrom .
