Boston Police were called to a slew of violent incidents starting late on Sunday evening into Monday morning in the neighborhood of Dorchester.
A possible motive for the shooting remains under investigation, but authorities have said it appears to be gang-related.
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are responding to a Monday shooting that injured one person. Police spokesman Harve Jacobs said the shooting happened just before 1 p.m. in the 4200 block of Rivers Avenue. EMS took a man to an area hospital for treatment, Jacobs said.
The shooting was reported at Skylab Road and Springdale Street around 7:15 a.m. Aerial footage showed investigators responding to an outdoor area of a California Closets building.
All four shootings are under investigation as separate crimes, but police are also examining whether one or more of the incidents are linked, police said.
Police said Jemille Edwards, better known as Skrilla, shot an officer in the face, neck, and chest with a toy gun filled with gel pellets.
It was a funny moment, until the other driver noticed he was being laughed at, and pulled out a pistol, police say.
A 59-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday evening by state police after a manhunt in west Michigan, authorities said. Don Albert Stapel Jr. was sought in a wooded area near the 7500 block of Fox Road in Mears when he was found in an outbuilding, Michigan State Police Sixth District said.
