Candidates came out swinging at New York City’s final mayoral debate Wednesday night, with all three candidates launching personal attacks and spotlighting each other’s hottest controversies.
Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee and front-runner, was put on the defensive as his rivals, Andrew M. Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, sought to siphon some of his support in their last meeting before early voting begins.
The two candidates, along with Republican Curtis Sliwa, faced off three days before early voting kicks off and with less than two weeks to go before Election Day.
Just over a week before Election Day, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and three leading challengers will spar in a livestreamed debate Monday hosted by the Minnesota Star Tribune and Minnesota Public Radio.
Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa challenged the front-runner Zohran Mamdani on experience, affordability and policy days before early voting begins.
