Tiffany Henyard, dubbed "America's worst mayor," has decisively lost the Democratic Party primary to run again for the role in Dolton, Illinois. Henyard had been involved in a series of scandals, which led to an investigation by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot concluding she mismanaged Dolton's finances with "excessive" spending.

With all precincts reporting, House had nearly 88% of the vote, compared to Henyard's 12%. It was a convincing defeat for Henyard, who had won 82% of the vote when she won the race for mayor in 2021.
