The Chicago Bears could part ways with head coach Matt Eberflus if the team loses to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

Analysis: Losing streaks like the Bears have can drag down a coach and staff but there are examples of coaches losing more in succession than Matt Eberflus and keeping a job.

Each of the Bears’ five consecutive losses has included “What is going on?” moments from Eberflus, and there's no indication he's learning from them.

ESPN Analyst Jeff Saturday turned some heads Tuesday when he stated that he believes current Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has a case to retain his job next year. Saturday initially credited Eberflus with quarterback Caleb Williams' resurgence in the last few games before his co-host Mike Greenberg quickly corrected him that the rookie's improvement has more to do with new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown than with Eberflus.
