American actor and director Jerry Adler recently passed away at the age of 96 on August 23, 2025. He is most recognized for his extensive career in both television and theater. Among his many roles, he gained widespread recognition for his work on The Sopranos,

Adler's long stage career gave way to memorable TV turns, most notably as Herman 'Hesh' Rabkin on 'The Sopranos' and Howard Lyman on 'The Good Wife.'

"He passed peacefully in his sleep in New York City and is survived by his four daughters," a spokesperson said.
