The search and rescue operation for a second British man who went missing while hiking in Italy's Dolomite Mountains has resumed. Aziz Ziriat, 36, and Samuel Harris, 35, from London, had not been heard from since 1 January.

Rescue crews have found the body of a missing British hiker buried in the snow of the Italian alps, but a search for his friend was suspended by poor weather conditions.

Italy’s Alpine rescue service said the search resumed for a second British hiker missing since January 1 in the Adamello range on the Italian Alps, after a one-day break due to bad weather.

The discovery, more than a week after the pair disappeared, comes after some of their belongings were found in a bivvy hut nearby

A body was found in the search for Sam Harris, 35, and Aziz Ziriat, on Wednesday, with reports suggesting it has been identified as Mr Harris.
