It's no secret that Goku is one of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball. While this allows Goku to win many of the incredible fights he's participated in, his increasingly great power makes it more difficult for him to be challenged as the story progresses – something that becomes a major point of contention by Dragon Ball Super.

Fans never asked for a Goku and Shin story, and Dragon Ball Daima still hasn't justified this odd pairing quite yet, though there is still some hope.
