Colorado has a plethora of locally owned grocery stores. Everything from mom-and-pop shops to international markets, to a local chain with 17 locations across the state.

King Soopers employees across Denver will hold a two-week strike starting today, February 6, and workers in Colorado Springs and Pueblo could join.

The two-week labor stoppage has begun in Denver-area stores. Pueblo stores start will join on Friday. See the list of impacted stores and pharmacies.

The start of a two-week-long strike by thousands of Colorado King Soopers workers meant people on the picket lines and shoppers either choosing to cross those lines or avoiding King Soopers in favor of other grocery stores.
