Domestically, Trump is posing threats to the rule of law on multiple fronts. And only three weeks into his term, many legal analysts believe that the country is heading to an unprecedented constitutional crisis.

The American Bar Association is warning the public about attacks on the rule of law — and suing the Trump administration — following the U.S. president's recent actions to dismantle parts of the federal government.

"No American can be proud of a government that carries out change in this way," the group's president wrote in a searing statement.

A fundamental tenet of the legal profession is that lawyers and judges are uniquely responsible for protecting the rule of law. This responsibility is to act individually and collectively.

In a new statement, the American Bar Association says President Trump is attacking the Constitution and the rule of law. '...we see wide-scale affronts to the rule of law itself, such as attacks on constitutionally protected birthright citizenship,

The American Bar Association condemned the Trump administration for undermining the rule of law, warning that its actions threaten constitutional protections and due process, while calling on lawmakers and lawyers to demand accountability.
