D’Angelo, the Grammy Award-winning R&B soul singer, has died. He was 51. The musician died after a private battle with pancreatic cancer, TMZ confirmed. D’Angelo’s family confirmed his death in a statement to The Post.
As People reports, D'Angelo was 19 when he met Angie Stone in the mid-1990s. Angie was about 30 and a working singer and songwriter at that time. She had been part of groups such as The Sequence and Vertical Hold before embarking on solo work.
