A flood watch is now in effect for the islands of Niihau, Kauai and Oahu through Saturday morning.
A wind advisory currently in effect for portions of the island chain due to strong trade winds has been extended until 6 a.m.
A wind advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday, but the stormy weather of the weekend has subsided.
However, a high wind warning will be in effect until 6 p.m. for all islands except Niihau and the Kona and Hilo areas of Hawaii Island.
Several road restrictions and closures remained in effect Monday on Maui due to severe weather.
Officials said Kauai County will remain open and provide services pending weather updates.
