Google’s QR code generator is limited to encoding URLs only. If you have other marketing needs such as encoding contact information, or using the QR Code as a dialer, you will have to go elsewhere.

In the latest Canary release, Google is laying the foundation for a built-in QR code generator in its Chrome browser for sharing pages.

You can create your own QR code and direct people to a specific website, document, or any other type of media.
