A wildfire burned a half acre near the Enchanted Mesa Trailhead near Boulder’s Chautauqua Park on Sunday night. The fire was about 50% contained as of 11:04 p.m. Sunday, according to a Boulder Fire-Rescue post on X.

On Monday, officials in Boulder and Clear Creek County announced that they're putting Stage 1 fire restrictions in place effective immediately.

Mandatory evacuations are in place for the Berthoud area along County Road 31, south of Carter Lake, in the Blue Mountain and Spring Valley area. Nicknamed the Cougar Run Fire, the latest reports say about 3.5 acres are burning near Blue Mountain and Spring Valley.

Boulder County is under a red flag warning Monday for elevations below 9,000 feet as the National Weather Service is warning of weather that could fan any wildfires that spark. The warning is in effect from 11 a.

Boulder County Parks & Open Space trails and open space areas west of Highway 36 will be closed starting at sunset on Friday and remain closed on Saturday, March 14 due to high winds and extreme fire danger.

A wildland fire is burning in Boulder County west of Longmont. The fire is in the Heil Valley Ranch off of Geer Canyon Drive, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
