Apart from hiding files inside BMP image files, converting files for allowing them to be sent as email attachments, BMP Wrap is also used to encrypt files.

BMP files are saved from bottom to top, we need to invert the image for our purposes. Do this by clicking the Image menu, go to Transform, and select “Flip Vertically”.

The files were usually GIF files, though occasionally a PNG file would appear. A few months ago this procedure resulted in files being saved in the BMP format. What is happening?
