Schiller wasn’t sure if Apple would be allowed to charge a fee for in-app purchases made through alternative payment methods following Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers’s Epic v. Apple ruling, according to the Associated Press.

On Monday, while testifying in a court hearing related to the ongoing Apple vs Epic legal battle, Apple executive Phil Schiller recounted his concerns regarding the fees Apple imposes on purchases made outside the App Store.

Amazon has announced that it will discontinue its app store on Android, setting August 20, 2025, as the deadline for operations. As the company confirmed, this may lead to apps and games users downloaded through the store losing their functionality.

Effective August 20, 2025, the Amazon app store will no longer be available on Android devices. This follows the previously announced closure of the Amazon app store for Windows. Developers can no longer submit new apps to the Amazon app store for Android, though they can continue to push updates to existing apps until August 20, 2025.

Amazon is discontinuing its answer to Google's Play Store, and the online retailer says that from August 20 onwards, users will no longer be able to access its app store for Android devices. After this date,
